certain pages don't show in history (purchase tracking)

My mother on her computer uses Firefox. She wanted to print the tracking confirmation number page, but then it automatically forwarded her to a 'Thank you' screen. She became scared when she couldn't back-track to the tracking confirmation page for a purchase she just made. I know a lot about computer's so I tried to help by going to the FF history toolbar > Today > site.. Found related pages, though I clicked on every page in the list, even those which were not related. I couldn't find the page she was looking for. I tried clicking the back button, even right clicking the back button next to the address bar, to see it's immediate history. I still couldn't get it to recall anything but 'Thank you' Screens.

She's using FF 39. on Windows XP

Is there a more detailed and thorough history? one that doesn't just rely on expired cookies and links but one that may record actual web page screenshots or the like?

Tracking confirmation pages doesn't work that way.For example,if you are purchasing something from online using online transaction they ask your to wait not not refresh the page as it cannot be traced back or refreshed. But that's nothing to worry about,they certainly send and email or message if you had successfully purchased.If not and the money was deducted,it can be redeemed from bank you made the transaction.By the way,to get transaction confirmation,log in and check the site's purchase/transaction history to confirm.Feel free to ping me back.

If content is loaded via XHR (XMLHttpRequest) or is created otherwise via JavaScript then you won't see this content in the history because the page URL doesn't change. Content loaded is a (i)frame won't show as well.

Many transactional sites are designed to prevent you from going back to avoid accidentally repeating a payment. One technique is to load the next page using the JavaScript function window.location.replace(new-address). This literally replaces the previous history entry with the new one. If the site is designed like that, you'll need to use a different method to get the information.

Fixed typo in window.location.replace()
