Win 7 32 bit 4GB ram

Firefox changes appearance when called from within another app. Bookmark folder icons are changed, font size and line spacing are much reduced. Menu bar is opaque, when normally it is partially transparent. Runs sluggishly, especially in a web page that uses shockwave

Could you send a screenshot of Firefox with wrong appearance please? It could be easier to identify the problem.

Check that you do not run Firefox in compatibility mode or with a reduced screen resolution.

You can open the Properties of the Firefox desktop shortcut via the right-click context menu and check the "Compatibility" tab. Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.

EDIT: Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder.

Hi cor-el

Did as you suggested, all compatability unticked, problem persists.

Strangely if I set compatability to Win 7, on a win 7 PC all works as it should.

But this seems to cause shockwave plugin to lock up and freeze the page I am on

Thanks Nik
