Firefox wants updated flash player, but my laptop is only 2.0 GHZ rather that 2.33 GHZ or greater so I cant upgrade and I loose functionality in firefox Windows
What can I do when firefox says flash player is out of date, so youtube or other websites don't play. My laptop has Windows Vista home premium SP1 and it only is 2 GHZ dual processors- but flash says minimum requirements for new flash updates takes 2.33 or greater GHZ. Can't firefox still play with older versions of flash so computers with this limitation can still play files it used to be able to play? Firefox sometimes asks me to allow outdated flash to play, but sometimes it doesn't ask me that- is the question website dependent?
your computer info below is reporting my desktop info, and my question is related to my laptop.

You should still be able to install Flash on your laptop, there is no reason it wouldn't be able to update and run just fine.
Note, you should update your Windows, you should install Service Pack 2 and all other Windows updates as well. Make sure you are using Firefox 39 as well.
You may find the Flash Player 13 ESR branch to work better on a lower system.
Flash Player 13.0.0.309 ESR can be found at bottom. https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

Note that flash esr 13 will be end of lifed soon
True. if one looks at when 11.7 ESR 9 July 2013 came out then version 13 ESR as of 13 May 2014. Overdue at that rate.

Tyler, can you explain why the flash player requirements page says minimum 2.33 GHZ, if you say I can still install it, but my laptop only has 2.0 GHZ. Also, what about the question of whether Firefox can just play an older version for my laptop- it sometimes asks me to 'allow' an older flash, and sometimes it simply doesn't ask- or is there some website specific information that Firefox uses to formulate and ask that question?
I've read that Firefox blocked Adobe Flash because security issues. You should update to the latest Flash version and it will be fine.

Likely those are the optimal system requirements, but you should still be able to install and run it. What version of flash does your computer currently have?
Did you update Vista like I suggested as well? After you install service pack two you will have a large platform update you will need to install that will dramatically improve Firefox's performance.
