google maps overlays are not readable

On websites often text/ overlays are shown over google maps. However on my Samsung Tab2 and in Firefox for Android I can't read the text. I only see colored stripes. In the standard browser on my tablet the info placed over Google maps is shown correct. What could be the problem in Firefox?
