When I first accessed a web site using Firefox it asked me if I wanted to play the mp3 player each time I accessed this particular site. I answered No. Now I want to turn the mp3 player back on. How?

You get a (possibly colored) Lego block icon on the left end of the location bar that indicates that the web page uses a plugin that Firefox is possibly blocking.

You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:

  • Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
  • Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected

Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab.

I did this but there is no place to make any changes (at least that I can see) so I can hear the mp3 player. The file is listed in the Media section but is italicized so I guess that means it is inactive. How do I change that? Why can't I speak to a real live person for assistance?

The "Tools > Page Info > Permissions" window should show the permissions of the plugins at the top and each plugin entry has a checkbox next to it to enable or block the plugin.

If you click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar then you should also see changes made from the default.

  • click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected

If this isn't working then it is likely that something else happened.

If you use extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

One more time. After installing Firefox and going to the www.nsmjq.org, a window appeared asking if I wanted to have the mp3 player play each time I accessed this website, I clicked on the NO button. Big mistake as I want it to play. How do I undo this?

The only things Blocked in the Permissions window are: Install Add-Ons and Open Pop-Up Window. In the Media window the address location for the music is grayed out and in Italics. Size 0 KB.  ???????????????
