When i right click on an image i`ve found by googling, i select "save image as" and select to save it to the desktop. It doesn`t go to the actual desktop but goes to the desktop folder as in my attachment. When i open the folder i see the saved item. When i click on refresh on the actual desktop the image appears on the actual desktop.Usually all saves went to the actual desktop but something has changed. i did the same with IE and the image went straight to the desktop as well as the folder. So, it looks like Firefox 40.0.03 is the problem. Any suggestions please?

It is possible that Anti-Virus software is causing problems. Try to disable Anti-Virus software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.
