every now and then, I have to install firefox. It does not show in dock, even in show finder, it's not there so I had to install again and again every time i open my mac. But it' weird because once the installation has been finished the selenium and firebug already there no need for me to reinstall.

Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.

Open the Firefox disk image file and drag the Firefox program into the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.
