Hi

Fair point, but this is more due to how Google wishes their services to be displayed. They have a preference for web sites to be displayed through their own apps on a mobile device rather than through a browser.

This is not just a Google approach, other companies sometimes prefer to provide a tailored service through their own app.

I hope this helps.

Hi

I have just tried this myself on Firefox for Android;

  • In the address bar, type news.google.com.
  • A mobile version of the news page will load.
  • If you wish save it as a bookmark, you can read how to do this here.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.

Why can't Firefox simply open this properly? Seems a cumbersome way to do things

Good point. However, I found an Android browser (Dolphin) that is faster and works properly. I have been using it for a day now and it works great.

Thanks for the help
