I am using Nightly 44.0a1 x64 because stable version Firefox has serious performance problems, like it takes long time to open a new tab, browser becomes non responsive on video and animation pages, uses lots of memory, etc.

I installed Java v8 u65 x64 on my computer but Nightly is not detecting it.

http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp says Java is disabled or not installed

What can I do?

Sorry but the WIn64 builds since Firefox 41.0# in development channels, one can only use the white listed 64-bit Flash Player plugin in Win64 Firefox.

Currently if you want to use other Plugins (on Windows) you will need to use the 32-bit Firefox builds whether on Release, Beta, Aurora or Nightly channel.

Firefox 42.0 may be the first to have Win64 alongside 32-bit on Windows however WIn64 builds are currently on the Beta, Aurora and Nightly development channels.
