Where can I get Thunderbird 31? I hear that I must use this older version to import from Eudora but can't find a link to download it.

Reading through others' questions and solutions it seems that in order to import my Eudora files to Thunderbird, I will need to first download an older version of TB, version 31. But I can't find a safe place to download this. I really want to use TB, but cannot if I will lose all my data.

Where is this information from? Can you provide a reference?

For importing, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Importing_from_Eudora_-_Thunderbird

Reading the release notes usually helps. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/38.1.0/releasenotes/

You will need to use Thunderbird 31 to do the import. Get it from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/31.8.0/win32/en-US/

Once the import is done update again to the latest version via the built-in update mechanism.
