Why do I have to minimize Firefox to access my Windows taskbar?

My windows taskbar is set to auto hide. When I am using Firefox, the windows taskbar will not pop up unless I minimize Firefox. This does not happen when I use Chrome or any other program. Anyone have a way to fix this?
