I cannot hotlink pics in Bing as the Disable protection drop down box isn't there and that is the only site with the 'wrong' filter box

I prefer to use Bing as my search engine but a few weeks ago suddenly I could no longer get an URL when I clicked on a picture then right clicked on it to bring up the box with View Image Info. All I got was the picture of the orange b for Bing.

I read the help info on mixed content but there is no dropdown box that says disable protection so I am still unable to get the pictures other than by Saving Image Info and having it on the Hard Drive then having to use tinypic or Imgur to put the picture on the site I use. I don't have this problem with any of the other search engines I have tried but I prefer Bing. I have been in touch with Microsoft and they suggest a filter is being triggered on their Bing by Firefox.

Please can you help this has been happening for about a month now. I did a screenshot but it won't upload

Say you have this image results page: https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=mallards

That page should show the green padlock in the address bar.

If you click any thumbnail, a large viewer appears. If the direct URL to the image is on HTTP instead of HTTPS, a yellow warning triangle will appear on a gray lock in place of the previously normal green lock. This is a mixed content warning, but if you can see the image, Firefox isn't blocking anything.

At that point, you should be able to right-click the larger image and Copy Image Location to get the URL to that image.

Does that yield the correct URL? You could test by opening a new tab (Ctrl+t), pasting the URL into the address bar, and pressing Enter to load it.

Alternately, what if you right-click, then hold down Ctrl and click View Image to launch it in a new tab?

Even if those work, I can't explain why View Image Info is behaving strangely. If you like, you can attach the screen shot to a reply.

Thank you so much for giving me Bing back. I still don't understand why it is the only one that has stopped working recently and the drop down box doesn't have the disable protection on it, but your solution fits the bill.
