Sent folder is empty in Thunderbird but not in my primary email client
I thought Thunderbird was going to mirror my gmail account. It does in almost every detail except the SENT folder. While gmail account has messages in SENT the Thunderbird account is not showing them?

Apologies ... I did not realize I was posting this in the Android area. I meant to post it in the pc area. How can I undo this?
right click the account in Thunderbirds folder view and select subscribe. Ensure Sent Mail is selected.
Right click again and select settings In server settings for the account select the advanced button. set the imap server directory to [Gmail] (Case is important here) click the Ok. in the copies and folders section for sent select other and choose the sent items folder on your account.
