I have an aol email account, which I sign into with Thunderbird. I want to change my password. I have read lots of solutions, some of which do not make sense, but have done the tools - options - password - and then the searches have advised that I delete master password, but I do not have a master password in the box. The only box which opens just gives my email address.

How can I change the password please to access my email accounts. I have been getting phishing from someone asking me to give my bank account details - they know which bank I am with. No other banks are mentioned. Thanks

Go to the AOL website and change it there.

When Thunderbird can't login because it doesn't know the new password, you'll be asked to enter it.
