You can always close the app by tapping the "recent apps key" and and swiping the app off its screen (or by tapping the X).

But if you need the Quit button, here's an addon for that: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/quitnow/?src=ss

If you set Firefox to clear any kind of data at shutdown, then a Quit item is added to the menu, because you need to use Quit to trigger that function.

More info on that option: Clear your browsing history and other personal data on Firefox for Android (section entitled "Delete data on exit"). For example, you might choose to clear Cookies & active logins, or Cache. (Do not select Downloads!!)
