Youtube videos freeze after a while

more options

After a while of browsing, the youtube videos dont play anymore. Then the loading symbol stays and nothing happens. I also have this on embedded youtube videos on other websites. I have to restart Firefox to solve the issue and after a while, it starts all over again.

Firefox version: 44.0.2 Windows 10, 64bit

Hi Plopper, Thank you for your question. I understand that videos freeze after a while. I might first recommend toggling the Flash preferences on the page to see if its the video player causing the issue.

  1. If flash loads automatically toggle this preference: Adobe Flash protected mode in Firefox
  2. If there is no difference, please go to about:addons and change Adobe Flash player to "Always Ask" and refresh the website.

Were there improvements?

Hey,

I tested it and it did not work. I use HTML5 on you tube so I also had my doubts if this was going to work. Any other suggestions?
