Every time I start Thunderbird, I receive multiple prompts to enter my Master Password. I do manage multiple email accounts with Thunderbird, but I would expect a single entry of that Master Password to suffice, since it protects the passwords for all of my accounts.

Why am I being prompted multiple times for the Master Password?

It's a known problem. As a workaround you can install this add-on. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/startupmaster/
