When I have two tabs open and use the one on the right it pops open additional tabs everytime I click on the page. Why?

When I use the second tab or open an additional tab to use and I click on that page or the scroll bar a new tab/window opens up with what I'm trying to view, but the page I just opened goes to something else. (99.9% of the time) Do I have some sort of virus? Because I have AVG and it is not showing any issues.

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
