right click, Delete ALL bookmarks
Hello
I have a folder that I use as a 'trash can" concept for bookmarks. Just in case I need to restore it. Then periodically I wish to delete all these bookmarks. The only way to do this currently, with some ease, is go to bookmark manager, go to the folder, and highlight all and delete.
Would be much easier, if I could add the option "Delete all Bookmarks" to the right click on the bookmark from my Bookmark Toolbar e.g. context bookmark menu
please see screenshot.
is there any setting that I could turn on to give me new option "Delete All Bookmarks" in the right click (bookmark context menu)?
I searched addons and there is nothing like this. There is this addon, which i tested, "Temporary Bookmarks", but it does not work and you must leave the name "Temporary Bookmarks" unchanged. Which is alot space on my Bookmark Toolbar.
Thankyou

I'm pretty sure the UI people would not add that as a built-in option because it would be too easy to lose data with a mis-click.
(It's already bad that "Forget About This Site" doesn't have a confirmation prompt.)
What do you think about deleting and re-creating the trash folder -- is that any faster?
Hello jscher2000, thankyou for your lateral thinking.
I was doing that previously. But once, I inadvertedly deleted the folder next to it! So decided that was not a safe option for me.
I understand UI team's perspective. Would be nice to restrict it to just this folder too! So essentially i am trying ot make-shift a "Trash Can" concept for bookmarks as bookmarks are so critical in my workflow of Fx use.
Thankyou, always helpful, your replies.
Note that you can undo an accidental delete in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) via the Organize menu.
