I love you guys, been using firefox for many years but this yahoo search page everytime keeps popping out to the page i wanted to visit. Can you guys just block Yahoo links? Its so irritating and you guys are not doing anything about.

Thanks for reporting this problem. You didn't share your browser data, but I suspect you have an infection that afflicts numerous Mac users.

Could you check your extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Command+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then check on the right side for anything you do not remember installing. In particular, be on the lookout for the Spigot add-on Searchme.

Bear in mind that no extensions come with Firefox, they are all optional. Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
