I need to do a clean installation of OS on C drive. I do not want to lose my bookmarks in Firefox. Is there a file I can copy and then use to restore my bookmarks and setting after I reinstall Firefox?

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

This is the profile of the current user. Have the file browser go up one level. Then copy everything to another drive.

C:\Users\==<user>==\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Hi Fred, Thank you for your email, my main problem here is that I do not know which file or folder is the "profile folder'. Can you tell me where I would find it as none of the folders or files in the Firefox folder are called "profile".

Best regards

Alan
