The Automatic Upgrade option is greyed out and will not allow me to change. Not as Administrator nor in safe mode. Really would like to have FireFox upgrade automatically.

ok thanks, everything looks normal there so i'd recommend a clean reinstall:

  • download the full firefox setup file from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
  • uninstall firefox through the windows control panel
  • manually delete any remaining files in the firefox program folder, which usually resides in C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\
  • reinstall firefox

hello, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...

That worked, thank you very much!! I had reinstalled before trying to correct, but did not do the "clean" install. All is good now.
