Java re and Java jdk is thought to be vulnerable by Firefox. But selenium a product that could be executed only with the support of of Java environments and jdk has a firefox plug in , that is mostly used by learners of firefox. It has so much formats that are included in selenium ide.

Then why not allowing java and firefox treat as mostly vulnerable to attacks. I want a detailed replies from experts and users of firefox in this regard

Sorry, I don't understand what you are saying.

Overall, Java isn't going to be supported in Firefox for much longer. Support for NPAPI plugins will probably be gone by the end of 2016. https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/

Applications like Selenium IDE are going to come up with a different way of interfacing with Firefox. My advice is to check with the developer of Selenium IDE to see what their plans are for the future of that product once Java is "done for" with Firefox.

Hi, I am not a user , but a learner. I always read and plugins in individual browser also shows that java is vulnerable and i have read so much articles . Glad that it will be change of interface of using selenium application. I am beginning to learn this selenium and the first part is to download jdk. Since Firefox is always saying about vulnerabilities of java, (i heard from some other sites also , and i experienced virus or malware attacks thro using java.

I totally uninstalled java from my system and would enable only on rare occasion. But the prerequisite of selenium is install of java. Hence the query. You have answered up to the point and it is also a known fact, that java does not support xp OS with a warning that it may or may not work.
