Search bar and optional search engines disappear using the distro/release mode of LinuxMint Firefox.

"Live Mode" and downloaded Firefox (user space) work normally.

Firefox also works normally on my other machines using LinuxMint 17.3/Firefox 47. Firefox also works normally using the "Live" DVD and /when downloaded into the /home space.

Any suggestions for analyzing this?

Gekose oplossing

Hello pearl298, please try to change in about:config the next preference

  • distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale

from "data:text/plain,distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale=en-US" to "en-US"

If you have a different locale en-GB for example, change it to en-GB

any luck ?

thank you
