I'm currently running win10.

Only HTTPS website show there content, if the site is none secure then the content will not show and I get a message saying Firefox cannot connect to the site.

I've tried all the normal stuff, firewall, reset network preferences , family security is turned off..

Any ideas how to fix would be brill

When I look at past threads, Avast WebShield was the most common explanation for this problem, but since so many people use Avast WebShield without this problem, it could be a sub-setting within Avast WebShield that causes it. ???

The other thing marked as a solution was scanning for malware. Our support article lists free cleaning programs: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.

Note: If you view articles with a Mac, you may not see downloads for Windows. In the left column, under Edit Tools, you can change the OS and (assuming JavaScript is enabled) it should show the OS-specific content to match.

Thanks for the info.

But I'm not using Avast WebShield.

I've only using the default setting for Win10. No extras installed at the moment.
