Thunderbird keeps switching windows without me wanting it to (on Windows 10). Firefox does the same.

I have my inboxes window open, and click on Reply to a mail. A second window opens, and I start typing. At any point focus switches back to the inboxes window, causing havoc if any of the letters I am typing have effects (like deleting messages !).

This must surely be a bug - is there any way around it ?

The exact same issue happens with Firefox, though it is less irritating and dangerous. I believe that this is a Mozilla issue - the same thing does NOT happen using Chrome.

Is your Windows background/desktop set to a slideshow or rotate images?

Thanks - yes the issue does seem to have gone away now I've switched my background to a constant.
