Can no longer open links in a new tab via dropdown menu since FF 50.0 update.
Before the recent update (FF 50.0 on Mac OS 10.10.5) I could click and hold on a link to bring up a dropdown menu with options to open the link in a new tab, open it in a new window, bookmark it, copy it, etc. Since the update, All the options still appear in the dropdown, but links will no longer open in either a new tab or a new window. All other options appear to work as before. Any ideas about what's happened?

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Thank you. Yes, the problem still occurs in Safe Mode. I should also note that when I attempt to open bookmarks from the bookmarks toolbar in a new tab (or window), it works fine. Only hyperlinks within web pages will not open this way anymore.
so to clarify as i am not able to reproduce the issue on windows - the option for a new window/tab is still showing up in context menus for links on websites but clicking it has no effect (or do they open in the very same tab instead)?
do keyboard shortcuts work?: i think cmd+click should open a link in a new tab and shift+click in a new window...
Thank you philipp. Yes, the context menu with all the various options still appears, but selecting 'open in new tab' or 'open in new window' does nothing--the link does not open anywhere. I AM able to perform each of those functions via the keyboard shortcuts, however.
It is definitely something to do with 50.0 I use that feature constantly and to have it not work is really annoying. I downgraded to 49 and it works again. I do not want to have to use keyboard short cuts that is the main reason I use firefox and not Safari. Please find a solution to this issue.
