Maybe the 5 month delay when that Main laptop wasn't connected to Sync had a part to play in your problem. Sync is intended to continuously synchronize Firefox data, not to be turned on when you want to "backup data", like with a cloud service. Plus the Password / Logins feature was changed right around that time, as I recall, so maybe that had a part to play in this current issue.

1. My advice is to disconnect all devices from Sync. 2. Then using the Main laptop with your most recent data, reset your Sync Password. That will clear your data from the Sync server, so you can get a fresh load of data in to Sync and then to the other devices when you connect again with the new Password. 3. Reconnect that Main laptop to Sync using the new Password. 4. The next day reconnect another device to using the new Password. Verify the Logins data is correct now in that device. 5. If it looks good, connect the other devices one at a time using the new Password. And if you are using a "mobile" version of Firefox [Firefox for Android or Firefox for iOS] I would wait a few days to make sure your data on the desktop / laptop devices is good before connecting one of those devices.

OK, you changed your passwords 5 months ago; now you used Sync and all of a sudden those changed passwords are the ones from 5 months ago before you changed them?

One of two things could cause that, i figure. 1. One device has had the old passwords all this time. Now that you connected that device the old passwords got sync'd to the Sync server ad then to the other devices connected to that Sync account. or 2. That old data was on the Sync server and you had Sync disconnected. When you connected that device the old password got merged with the current passwords, IOW, two different listings for the same "username", with different passwords for each.

Now, one change that was made in Firefox back around that time could also have cause that. The former Password Manager was changed and renamed to Logins Manager; features were added ti allow both the "username" and "password" to be edited; where with the older Password Manager it wasn't possible to "edit", if the password needed to be changed the user either needed the old Password Editor extension or they had to add an additional entry for that "username" and then delete the old entry. And if Sync was disabled on that device at the time the Logins Manager was used to "edit" the password - AND Sync had the old password; it is conceivable that reconnecting to the Sync account that had the old password could have added that old username / password entry back onto that device. Easy to check that, just open the Logons Manager and see if you have two entries for that "username" each with a different "password". If so, just delete the old one. Then Sync should delete that "orphaned" data.

the-edmeister,

first i thankful as you spare your precious time and also sorry for late reply, as i am busy in work as well as change all my logins with password too.

Unfortunately, in your reply, i will not find any extra data will make / add by Logins Manager as i Sync after 05 Months.

I think i misunderstand Login Manager working, i think my main laptop having all and latest login credentials + bookmarks which i also want to on other devices, i always updated my laptop firefox first before update on other devices.

But it could not happen like this, database of firefox where it store all info related to Login + bookmark etc. first compare with the first time backup and update my laptop firefox credentials and even also change the order of bookmark which i place according my thoughts, this happened with me,

After this, i again update my all credentials and Re-Sync one more time, same issue had occur again, i mean again i update all my password.

But today i re-sync account again, i notice that it not change my credentials which is most recent updated and bookmark also on same place where i left last time :P
