I have a new pc in my shop, Intel NUC system with windows 10 home edition installed on it. It is used to print tickets for 2 different events, both with different printer. For one event I use chrome with a Epson receipt printer and for the other I use firefox with canon laser printer. On old pc (windows 7) configuration was Epson as default printer so chrome took it automaticly, and firefox remembered the canon printer. Worked excellent for 5 years. But now with new system and windows 10 firefox every time comes with epson (default) printer. Checked about:config print_printer is canon. Is there a solution known? Thanks for any help

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

pref.js is writable, no extra software is used on this computer

all my preferences, even canon printer are saved in pref.js file.

It looks like windows overrules the pref file
