Uk newspaper consistently causes Ff 53.0.3 32 bit to stop responding, no other newspaper causes this problem.
Everyday I visit several online newpapers both in the UK and the USofA. My problem is unique to one UK paper namely the " Express". After logging onto the Express the front page partially loads i.e most of the text and some of the graphics. At this stage the Blue loading circle revolves and sometimes will keep revolving for several minutes. I never do anything until the Blue circle stops revolving otherwise Ff stops responding. If and when it stops I then can proceed to read one article/piece, however if I then click the back arrow it will hang and usually I then get the message, Firefox has/is not responding. Most times after the first page has loaded ( text ) it can take several minutes for the graphics to fully load. I have looked at the crash reports but to be honest can not make head nor tail of them. I reiterate it is ONLY the Express that causes the problem. I have tried loading the Express whilst running Ff in Safe mode and can honestly state there is little or no difference. I have also checked the DL speed of the Express, sometimes it is well within the speed that is acceptable ( ie other newspapers DL speeds) and other times is it is crawling . And maybe I have just answered my question.

Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.
Type about:preferences<enter> in the address bar.
- Cookies; Select Privacy. Under History, select
Firefox will Use Custom Settings. Press the button on the right side called Show Cookies. Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove All of them.
- Cache; Select Advanced > Network. Across from
Cached Web Content, Press Clear Now.
If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). While you are in safe mode;
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
You will need to restart Firefox for this to take effect so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.,) and then perform these steps:
In Firefox 54 and below:
- Click the menu button and select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac, Linux).
- Select the Advanced panel and the General tab.
- Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Close Firefox completely and then restart Firefox to see if the problem persists.
In Firefox 55 and above:
- Click the menu button and select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac, Linux).
- Select the General panel.
- Under Performance, uncheck Use recommended performance settings. Additional settings will be displayed.
- Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Close Firefox completely and then restart Firefox to see if the problem persists.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.
