Why does Version 56.0 seem to have "scrambled" the back/forward buttons?

I just upgraded to Version 56.0 from 55.0.3 & the Back/Forward buttons are partially overlaid on each other.

The attached snips show what I mean - I use some Stylish code & a few options from "Classic Toolbar Buttons" extension, and nothing else changed, just these 2 buttons.

As the extra code & options work fine in it, I've gone back to 55.0.3 for now, in the hope that this is a known problem & will be fixed for the next update.

However, if it's just me - thanks in advance for any assistance & I'll check back in about 7/8 hours, it's past my bedtime now :-)

Firefox 56 still has the longstanding design of the big back button and little forward button. It looks the same, but perhaps there was some selector change that requires tweaks to your Stylish rules. Did you develop those or did you find them on userstyles.org or elsewhere?

Did you try Safe Mode in case CTR or another extension or your code in userChrome.css is causing issues?

Note that you may have to put the CSS code in CTR instead of using Stylish or userChrome.css to make it work properly and override code set via CTR.

Hi - thank you so much for taking the time to reply - I've rethought how I should ask this & think I need to give more info.

Firstly - jscher, you've helped me here before with coding - I probably mucked it up but ended up with a window I like :-)

My F'fox window is *not* full-screen - I have a Skype IM panel open permanently on the left of the monitor.

My 1st snip (V 55.0.3) shows how Stylish & CTB together get me Tabs at the top of my monitor + buttons I like.

My 2nd snip (V 56) shows how Stylish & CTB look used together.

In V 56, disabling both Stylish & CTB gives snip 3.

In V 56, disabling Stylish & with CTB enabled gives snip 4 (buttons actually worse).

Snip 4 shows CTB with -

"Classic Style for..." - "Nav toolbar buttons" = "Old small buttons" "Toolbar button icons" - "Back-forward button" = "Firefox 3 (blue [Strata]) v2"

Changing the 2nd of those to "Default" & enabling Stylish gives snip 5.

It seems to me then that it's CTB that's causing the problem? If you need me to, I can post the screed of (probably mostly redundant) Stylish code, but I feel it's not impacting on those buttons (?).

I'll stay on V 56 with that "Default" set in CTB as I guess it's best with regard to security to be on the latest version, but I *really like* those blue buttons :-(

I know, "picky, picky..." :-)
