I can feel the spinning vibration, but nothing opens. I've done it many times before...but obviously I am doing something wrong now...

Do you mean a CD or DVD in your computer's optical drive?

Try using Windows Explorer, not Firefox, to work with local disks. You can pop up a Windows Explorer window by holding down the Windows key and tapping E.

Also, your Firefox provided a rather odd combination of identifying information. It said:

  • Operating System = Windows XP
  • Firefox version = 53.0

If you have Windows XP, the last version designed to run on your OS is the Extended Support Release of Firefox 52. See: Firefox has ended support for Windows XP and Vista.

If you have a newer version of Windows, Firefox 53 is very out-of-date now. See: Update Firefox to the latest release.

If all that information is wrong, see: How to reset the default user agent on Firefox.
