Why can't I get Firefox to open with a blank page?

more options

I have the option "When Firefox starts" to "Show a blank page." However, ever since security uodate 56/0.1 it starts as "Show your windows and tabs from last time." And, since there usually aren't any windows or tabs from the last time, I get an "Oops, something went wrong" page. Is there any way to get it back to the way I want it?

Gekose oplossing

One potential reason for this problem is if you have CCleaner and it has its default setting of clearing session data from Firefox. In Firefox 56, the file name and format of session history files changed, and this caused an incompatibility with that CCleaner feature. Until it is fixed, you can turn off clearing of session data in CCleaner.
