Many web pages will not open and most of my addons no longer work You have placed many people at a severe security disadvantage with this update I want to Roll back to my old Firefox, and use my original addons, which was LOVELY How do I do that and at the same time restore my addons? This new Quantum SUCKS! I dont like It and I am sick of Mozilla deciding which pages I can or cannot open If they keep labeling pages as Malware sites, wont be long and Mozilla home will be the only page Firefox will open.

Hello,

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu, choose Library, then History, and then "Clear Recent History...".
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the "Clear Now" button.

Further information can be found in the Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

This Is something i do regularly anyway...and It did not help.. Today, I also noticed that my MEGA will no longer download and all the file hosting sites are no longer working for me.. This has become somewhat of a joke and I am seriously contemplating going back to IE after using Firefox for many years.. Or, is there some way I can Roll back to the previous version, as It was working flawlessly for me as well as all my addons..primarily NoScript. Not Happy Jan...If something Isnt broke...Dont fix It! It has forced me to change the whole way I deal with downloading and Ive had to Install other software to do so. Seriously, Mozilla should have tested more before releasing and simply allowing automatic Updates to Install software that Is obviously buggy. This Is a huge mistake on their behalf and shows the pure arrogance of that team..

Did a Windows Rollback

Now everything Is working and back to normal....

Of course, I Immediately turned off Automatic Updates

I hope you know what you can do with Firefox Quantum at this time..

Simply..Mozilla took It too far...and ended up making the software practically unusable

In the meantime I will look for a secure alternative to Firefox..

Its been fun while It lasted...but nice knowing ya..

Cheers

Since you clearly state you want to go back : unfortunately 56.0.2 is no longer safe to use for every day use do to secuity issues, but 52.5.0 ESR is. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

He is right. Firefox is a disaster. Used to love it but am coming to hate it. Quantum has left such a bad taste. Firefox is no longer a pleasure to use. Seriously thinking about an alternative. May even consider that rollback. Surely Quantum and extensions should be sorted by May? If not, you might consider a roll back too.
