Slow as in? I can go to Wells Fargo, Bank of America, US Bank and have no slow down. So unless someone can verify what kinda connectivity you have at your location or unless the problem is computer related this will be hard to know just from a general "slow connections" and Problem connecting-this could be a hosts of problems masked by FF usage.

Hi carolem912, when Firefox doesn't connect, is that a quick error page or does Firefox try for a long time?

Do you notice any pattern to this problem? For example, you mentioned two HTTPS (secure) sites. Are HTTP (insecure) sites also affected? CNN's site has a lot of content and might load slowly on most occasions: http://www.cnn.com/

Could you rule out the bug related to Accessibility Services. That is covered in the reply from philipp in the following thread: Firefox 57 hangs up.
