Firefox no longer remembers web pages from the Steam market

I switched over to a new PC and copied my old profile files over to it. Everything seemed to run smoothly, but then I noticed that Firefox was no longer remembering the websites I was browsing, even though I had access to my older history. I checked the settings and for some reason the usual remember history setting was switched over to wiping after closing every session. I switched it back and since then the browser has been remembering most of the websites in history. It still doesn't remember new pages from some websites, most notably, the steam market website and the ones that I accessed while I was using it with the wrong settings are missing, and more importantly, they can't be saved. Also when I start typing in the address bar, the bar seems to run searches on the first three letters or so and afterwards it doesn't keep searching when I keep typing. Also it doesn't find sites that I can verify that it has saved in the history menu.

OK, so I messed around quite a bit and I figured out that it's down to the places.sqlite file. If I copy everything else, the new profile works 100% alright. If I copy the places file though, the problem appears again. So, the way I figure I can either have a working browser or lose all my history. So the history goes and I keep all of my passwords and bookmarks that I copied back and forth, and that sort of fixes the problem. If anyone can tell me how I can edit the sqlite files, I'm pretty confident I can comb through the browsing history and isolate the problem further.

places.sqlite

This file contains all your Firefox bookmarks and lists of files you have downloaded and of websites you have previously visited.

So got your bookmarks, have the files you downloaded so history. I never use it myself so can not figure out what the deal is with everyone. I scanned their downloads sub-domain with virustotal.com and comes out clean. That's all I know about the site/program. https://www.systoolsgroup.com/forensics/sqlite/places.html
