Why can't I sort bookmarks menu permanently? I.E. allows this! I don't want to go to the "All bookmarks" folder each time I want to see them sorted by name.
I think it is just silly that there is no easy way to sort my bookmarks menu permanently without moving them around manually. I don't want to have to open the library folder every time i want to see them sorted by name. That's not user friendly at all! I like Firefox over Internet Explorer except for when it comes to the bookmarks vs favorites organization functionality.

The Views menu in the Library does what its name says (i.e. is only for viewing purposes) and shows a sorted list (similar to clicking a column on the header bar). Once you close the Bookmarks Manager (Library) window you lose this sorting setting as this choice isn't persistent. If you want to sort bookmarks then you need to right-click the containing folder (i.e. not right-click a bookmark) and select "Sort By Name". You can sort the bookmarks manually and drag bookmarks in the desired order. If dragging doesn't work properly then use Cut and Paste instead.
Bookmarks are sorted between separators, so if you have folders and normal bookmarks then drag the folders to the top in the right pane and (temporarily) put a separator between the folders and the bookmarks.
