Hi, that is a issue. Suggest grab your Profile (which could be the issue) https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data Then can try short install over top if it is not the same as the current version
- https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ 59,0,1 is current version.
If that does not work :
- https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html uninstall. then install from the other URL.
You can get your bookmarks back and maybe some other data by : new profile by transfer of files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem. Never work with original files.
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
fyi for future:

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if that works.
- Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox
- Mac: hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program. Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
