My email recipients tell me that a photo of myself is appearing next to the email senders information. I have not configured or added a photo with my signature file. also, it may be a coincidence, but the photo is my Facebook profile photo. I use Thunderbird for my email program and Internet Explorer.

check your 'Sent' folder for the email. select email and see if there is any image displayed. Is there an attachment?

Select 'View' > 'display attachments inline' select email, is there any image displayed?

There is no attachment even when I select the display attachments inline. When the email receiver tries to forward the message back to me, there is no photo attached to the email. She took a picture of it with her cell phone and sent that to me. And yes, there's my photo, right beside my Sender name.

To get to the bottom of this mystery..... It may help if you could get the person to access the source code of the email and copy paste all the contents of it into eg: Wordpad or Notepad or MS Word. Then send you that document.

It might help if I could see a copy of that image they sent to you and source code if you can get person to send it. As this may contain some personal data, you could send it to myself at email: mail at anje dot co dot uk I will not post the info or image. I usually do not respond via that email address, instead I post responses in this forum.
