Hi,

Is there a way to reveal what audio bitrate you're getting when playing audio via HTML5 in Firefox?

On Firefox 54.

Thanks,

Hi, would not that depend on your sound card and drivers and what it supports. Suggest research that as is not Firefox that plays it. Also search Win 10 for Device Manager and check that Win 10 has not replaced the stock sound drivers with it's own (it did with mine 5 mins after I installed a update). While there check other stuff also as Win 10 can change any and all of your hardware drivers.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hello Pkshadow,

The streamed bitrate has nothing to do with the sound card installed on the operating system. It's set by the server sending the stream but if the client doesn't display the bitrate then ..... ? I tried looking at the network card traffic stats, no help either as on FireFox the audio is pulled down in large chunks and cached as instead of being sent as a continuous stream. Nothing in the console tools either as far as I can tell.

Thanks.
