Have some emails setup to forward when received through filters but it doesn't until you shut down thunderbird and restart it again why
The e-mails I have setup through filters to forward to another e-mail address wont go the first time I start Thunderbird. I have to close out of Thunderbird and reopen it and then it works everyday. Why

I'm not sure why that's happening, but I'd always suggest doing this kind of auto-forwarding at the server, i.e. through your email provider's website. Look for an option to set up rules or filters. Then the forwarding will take place regardless of whether or not Thunderbird is running.
That is, unless your filters are simply moving messages between folders or accounts, and not "forwarding" in the sense of re-sending via email.
