Hello, the bug

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1394851

was described as solved, but the issue is present in my version of FF (see above).

I have browser.download.useDownloadDir;false

but the screenshot extension continues to save in the default download directory.

thanks and best wishes Chris

Perhaps the developer of your extension needs to fully support that API?

Hi Tyler well, seems like I used the wrong terminology with the word "extension". The difficulty does not come from some third-party software. It happens with the built-in screenshot function of FF. See also https://github.com/mozilla-services/screenshots/issues/3420 which is referenced on the abovementioned bugzilla page. Best wishes Chris

Hi, just making sure as Screenshots should not be stored on-line.

Give this a try when you get back I hope from a great holiday : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 61.0.1 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
