If I, apparently, made mistakes in customizing my home page, should I uninstall and reinstall?

The support article "Set or change your home page" drag and drop didn't work because the only tab shown was "New Tab" In several other support articles confirm that Firefox is set as my home page. My email client is Yahoo mail. When I open my mail, then close it my clicking Home in toolbar, AT&T Home Page opens, probably because Windows 7 Internet Options shows AT&T as the default browser. The Firefox support article "Setting Firefox as the default browser - Using your operating system - Windows 7 . following instructions step by step didn't work. I installed Firefox Aug.3, and still don't feel comfortable. Should I uninstall and re-install as a means of making sure that I didn't make mistakes? Note: I asked, Aug.4, about how to find the address for Firefox,,got a reply, tried all the suggestions, and still don't know the address I need to use for telling Windows 7 what my default browser is. AT&T and Yahoo required that I change my browser, because Internet Explorer would "no longer be supported" and suggested Firefox or Google Chrome. I chose Firefox because of online reviews. Help me make that the right decision.

No, you don't need to uninstall Firefox.

Can you help me understand what exactly you need to do? Do you need help setting Firefox as Default (Make Firefox your default browser) or setting your home page (How to set the home page)?

Let me know what you need help with and I can help you further.
