Somehow, out of nowhere I open my laptop and my search bar disappeared and now there is a blank page. I want to get my search bar back on the page and not use the tool bar because under the tool bar it keeps recent pages I have visited.

Also, when you opened a new tab.....under that search bar were all the sites you visit most often.

I totally misconstrued your question - 'thought you wanted a blank new tab page with a search bar in the middle (sorry ..... )

I know how to add that one but I want the one that used to be in the middle of the page. The one that had the sites that you visited most often underneath it.

No I have my homepage set. Let me elaborate. When you open a new tab right? There used to be a search engine bar in the middle of the screen. Now it is just a blank white screen with a tool bar at the top. I have attached a pic. In the picture attached, there used to be a search engine bar in the middle of that screen.

If you want a Search Box on a page please go to Options --> Home and uncheck everything but the box that says Web Search

Hello jimbo2872,

Would you give this add-on a try  ?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/

It worked for the OP in this thread :

I'll show you what I mean. Attached is a picture of a new tab and yes I know how to add the search engine on the tool bar but I don't want that. In the picture attached is a blank white screen right? In the middle of that screen there used to be a search engine bar. I want it so when I open a new tab, that search engine is back. I will give it a shot but I first wanted you to know exactly what I was talking about. Also, when you opened a new tab.....under that search bar were all the sites you visit most often.
