. Whenever you get a message / popup that software / files need to be updated;

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PROVIDED LINKS

While this may be a legitimate message, it could also be Malware or a Virus. Anytime you want or need to check for upgrades, go to the website of the True Owner of the program in question. For example, to check out Firefox, go to https://www.mozilla.org {web link}

You can report such a site at; Google Report Phishing Page {web link} which is the same when done while on site by going to Help > Report Web Forgery

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Hi, Fred,in safe mode, there is no problem or redirecting. But it is not normal mode. i checked the items in msconfig. There is nothing harm at startup tab or services tab. here is a screen shot, when i click today the ookla speedtest net. Iat was first directed to naganoadigei.com and then subsequently to flipkart site, proabably duplicate or fake site. I do not think flipkart would do redirecting, and if it does, shame on them. i cannot start on f8 mode always. What i want is tracert command to track the inside link in a weblink in firefox browser. I downloaded firebug, but could not find where it is . if weuse tracert command, it gives the entire traffic from start to end. But,what i want is , after reaching the site, i want to know the links that is connected with that web page. Is fireug discontinued? I also checked the website details, naganoadigei.com is having its place in netherlands and i do not know, what it is doing round the speed test net. Or is the speedtest net not a reliable site for testing speed
