Why am I having problems now using FFox on blurb.com (Bookify) to cut and paste text from Word, which always worked before?

I'm working to complete a book using Bookify on blurb.com. For previous volumes, and half of this one, I logged on using FFox and cut and pasted text from word into the book layout. Now nothing will paste except the word "null". Cut and paste is working on blank Word pages and in new emails. Blurb help desk suggests it is a problem with FFox. Am using v 63.0.1 on a Macbook. Wondering if anything in the latest update might have changed? Would appreciate any ideas. Many thanks.

I noticed that in some areas there is an overlay on top of some text.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
