Thunderbird Mail - Local Folders -- Annoying

My Thunderbird installation recently updated itself to version 60.3.1 (32-bit). Since then, every time I open Thunderbird, it flashes on a window that says "Thunderbird Mail - Local Folders" and beneath that, shows "Accounts" (with a number of items beneath it) and "Advanced features" rather than going straight to the usual window that displays my Inbox and other mailboxes. After the brief flash, it then displays my Inbox, etc.

Is there a way to stop the new version of Thunderbird from blinking on that window? More than anything, it's irritating. I'm attaching an image of what flashes on the screen here. The previous version of Thunderbird never did this.

If it's not possible to make this stop, is there a way to revert to the earlier version of Thunderbird and turn off automatic updates?

Thanks!
