Dell XPS 13 Developer Ubuntu 18.04.1 Firefox Quantum 63.0.3

installed flashplugin-installer from repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu $(lsb_release -sc) multiverse"

confirmed flashplugin-alternative.so is in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and is a link to /etc/alternatives/mozilla-flashplugin which is a link to /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/libflashplayer.so

There is nothing in ~/.mozilla/plugins

Flash does not show up in about:plugins and

https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html

says flash is not installed (so it can't be enabled).

I also tried adobe-flashplugin from repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ $(lsb_release -sc) partner"

and it did not work either.

I need Flash. Can you help?

My paths weren't the same as those in the provided link. I'd installed Firefox from the Software Center GUI and it used snap. so I uninstalled flashplugin installer in a terminal, uninstalled Firefox in the Software Center, installed firefox followed by flashplugin-installer in a terminal, and it sees it in about:plugins and works. Many thanks.
