Firefox (linux-Ubuntu) will not automatically fill in login username (but does fill in password) on website "safeway.com" login page - why?
I only have this problem with safeway.com. Firefox will not save the username (email address) for my login there. It does save my password, but I always have to manually enter the username.
Recently I tried manually editing the saved passwords (under "Preferences") - the username was blank for the safeway.com entry, so I put it in. This had no effect and the username field still is not filled in for that site.
Does anyone else have this problem with the login page on Safeway.com? I am using Firefox 63.0.3 (64-bit) for Ubuntu, but this problem has been present for at least a couple of years.

There are some web pages that do not allow browsers to record or fill in the log-in information. But a Form Filling add-on still works.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) you can try a Form Filling add-on.

I don't think this is the problem, since the autologin for the same site works on Chrome for Windows. I believe it also works on Firefox for windows, but I'll need to double check that... pretty sure I only encounter this issue with Firefox for Linux-Ubuntu.
I checked and it works for Chrome, but not Firefox for Windows.
It's odd because Firefox DOES save the password and autofill it, but it just will not autofill the email address.

I have the same issue with the Albertson merged grocery. "safeway" merged in in 2015. My Acme in 1999. The website is acmemarkets.com see how long the sign in page is at the bottom. It used to autofill for all the years prior with firefox but I think it has this same issue when they have made major computer programming changes before, so they really don't know what they're doing in this area of programming. They have relatively recently 6 months?? or more?? changed to a brand new program. It sounds like another one of those problems where the programmer leaves firefox out. And again they are not linking to firefox right in their new programming and could use some tutoring from firefox telling them how to do it (tell them to keep a hard copy) I called them and emailed them and it didn't help. LIkely were ignored because they don't readily know how to do it.
