Every time I try to log onto FireFox GoogleChrome pops up. When I click on my Firefox icon I get a box pop up that asks if I want Firefox to have access to my hard drive and when I click on Yes - it refuses to acknowledge the correct response.

Neither Browser will interfere with each other operations. You got other problems going on here and it's not a Browser issue. I got Chrome and FF and IE and Edge and loading each doesn't interfere with the other.
